At Rainbow Form, your child’s imagination is at the heart of everything we create — but their safety and your peace of mind are just as important.
That’s why we only use high-quality, kid-friendly materials that meet safety standards, while also offering durability, detail, and charm.
What Our Toys Are Made Of
3D Printed Materials:
- We use PLA (polylactic acid) and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) to print our toys.
- These materials are widely used in toy and hobby-grade printing due to their strength, safety, and low toxicity.
- PLA is plant-based and biodegradable under industrial conditions.
- ABS is used when additional strength or color performance is needed.
Painted Details (Full Color Models)
Some Full Color toys include detailed painted finishes.
We use acrylic paints that conform to ASTM D-4236, which means they have been evaluated by a toxicologist and are considered safe for use in art materials.

However, Rainbow Form toys are designed as keepsakes or light-display items — they are not chew-safe or intended for rough play.
Our Safety Commitments
- No harsh solvents or unsafe finishes are used in production
- All toys are cleaned, sealed, and finished by hand in our North Carolina studio
- Each model is inspected before shipping to ensure edges are smooth and construction is safe for household use
- We follow best practices for 3D printing safety, material selection, and child-safe design
Care Instructions
- Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth
- Do not submerge in water or expose to high heat
- Not intended for toddlers under 4 years old

Rainbow Form creations are keepsake-quality models, perfect for display, light handling, or gifting — not rough-and-tumble toys for daily play.
Think of them like collectible figures, not action figures.
